The Mexican Pointy Boots Movement

Stumbled upon this documentary on Vice Magazine TV yesterday with a couple of friends, and it’s about this small little fashion movement in Matehuala, Mexico where dudes dance to Tribal Guarachero with cartoonishly long cowboy boots.

The documentary is important, not only because we’re being shown a really bizarre slice of life & popular culture for this community, but because the doc is also about Tribal Guarachero which is a pretty popular mode of dance music right now. But I just wanna also point out and sorta question how Vice Magazine finds these really batshit weird subjects? Like how do they consistently come across so many bizarre trends and movements when every other publication or network in the world sorta sits on this kinda stuff?
